All of these came into my house in the month of December 2017.
Other purchases or gifts I feel match fantasy or horror are…
Quite a few different types of gemstones, especially hypersthene, a tigers eye pendulum, a lapis lazuli gemstone for Henry, A black onyx pendulum, a Rhodonite pendulum for my Henry, an apatite, a large rose quartz the size of a small hot crossed bun and last but not least a hematite thumb ring.
I bought incense and a new incense charcoal burner in the shape of a Chinese lotus flower. The scents were vanilla, cinnamon, patchouli, dragon’s blood, rose and lily. I can’t burn these things when Henry is at home; I have to do them when he is at school and open all the windows afterwards because he is prone to headaches.
I was gifted a fairy house garden ornament in the shape of a mushroom at Christmas from my husband Paul and Mrs Tiggy Winkle acting as the old woman in the shoe ornament and a wolf trinket box. I do like weird stuff. He bought me a good sized wooden box too, the shape and style of a pirates treasure chest and it fits all of my gemstones in perfectly with room for half again! It really does look like a real pirate’s chest now with all of those gemstones in it.
I am a big kid, anything remotely regarding fantasy or horror and I like it. Depends what it is however but my house certainly shows what I love in every nook and cranny! I am not averse to having marvels cushion on my sofa for example!
It is difficult when friends and relatives visit because they presume I allow Henry to rule the roost, but the look on their faces when I say “No, it’s for me, I wanted it there”. They do ask occasionally whether or not I should put such things in my bedroom? I can’t put everything there! Besides, what is wrong with a marvel cushion? A soft toy of the joker on my PC desk? 3 snow globes on the bookshelves? Four different types of calendars in the living room, Gothic, minions, marvel, wolves and then there is DC comics in the dining room with an RSPB one. The first of every month is interesting for me, I like guessing which 1 of the many calendars around the house my husband will forget to change! Me and Henry take bets with fruit pastilles!
I love the fact that I can be so free to be more me, with Paul lately. He always wanted me to be me, but I was never confident enough to make it reflect in my home and for the first 5yrs living together it was all cream and browns around the house to make it look more like a normal household – yeurgh. But now it’s green, yellow, with the occasional quirky wallpaper. In the living room on just one wall there is wallpaper that looks like pastel version of the trees depicted in the movie The Lorax. In the bathroom it is mostly white tiled but we are going to buy dolphin and coral wallpaper next month. The kitchen is kitted out with tiles a harlequin would love, also next month we are buying wallpaper for just one side of the kitchen and that will be in the style of Mediterranean food. Our bedroom is royal purple and soon I will be adding cerise to the other side of the wall, I also wanted to get door murals to make the doors of the house look like medieval castle doors!
I refuse to grow up.
Anyway, have a HAPPY NEW YEAR all of you ❤
To me, a vampire is never messy when actually feeding. They take great care and consideration when feeding not to leave any evidence behind that could trace back to them. They respect their prey, they respect their prey for the life that is sacrificed in order to keep its own life flowing. They are shrewd by nature, but considerate and well-mannered.
Vampires generally do not live alone; they go about in packs and travel a lot during the night to hunt. They do not however, hunt in packs unless they are settling scores. Where they hunt and how they hunt is usually discussed within their nests to avoid any pattern setting. Typically a vampire will travel to hunt anywhere within a 200 mile radius of their home, they avoid a pattern being set by having one large nest in every 30 to 50 mile radius near large populations and generally swap and change their abode with others as they are not limited to their favourite pack members, but the whole extension of the vampire network.
Vampires typically accept each other very easily and are very protective of all other vampires of their breed, treat each other as though they were very, very close siblings, even if they only ever meet each other once a decade. They know who is a vampire and who isn’t instinctively and they never get it wrong.
If a vampire isn’t seen to have an instinct to protect or love their own kind easily, they tend to either destroy themselves or become destroyed by the pack members within one lunar cycle.
Vampires have a strong sense of pack relations and traditions. The older they get the more refined they become of the mortal culture that surrounds them. They maintain traditional values; they maintain etiquette and react to the area as the highest possible class that’s available. The vampires have their own dates for special occasions and have their very own culture which they all respect and protect fiercely. Anyone who is sloppy, anyone who acts out of line threatens the very essence of the pack and they don’t allow this and like wolves will either kill off or run out of the pack the one who upsets anything. Along with their traditions there is a hierarchy that is respected profusely, there is a system as to who is top dog and who isn’t and anyone challenging that upsets the pack and if you upset the pack, you die, simple as that.
Despite the respect for mortals they have, they also understand that they are killers and they have to end lives sooner or later and if they don’t, they betray themselves and their nature.
If you are considered physically or more importantly mentally too weak for the pack, they will end your existence. If you are a sloppy killer, you will be killed. If you lure hunters to the pack, you will be destroyed, if you go against tradition you will die and if you ever commit a crime against a member of the pack you will be trialled and if found guilty tortured horribly before you die.
Vampires respect each other, they respect the hierarchy and they respect traditions. They do not treat each other as slaves, they do not turn their own kind away and they always help out.
They work together to keep each other safe and happy.
They hide from sunlight but are not completely at risk in mild light, such as twilight, dawn, and dusk, low light day like cloudy rainstorm weather or fog.
They have no problems with religious artefacts, water or garlic.
But like anything can be killed with a stake through the heart.
My vampires are pack animals, they don’t like to be alone and they never will be entirely alone.
There is safety in numbers and they know this.
They also have semi-immortal servants which are kind of half sired that protect them during the day. Like the original Fright Night.
They are very picky about who they sire and get to know their sired children before doing so.
A vampire isn’t moody, they live their lives very similarly to humans if they can and they are often very thoughtful, content creatures.
Because their memory is wiped when they are sired they don’t dwell on their mortal past but rather get on with their existence as though it’s a reincarnation – which it is.
They don’t sparkle.
They don’t rip their victims’ limb from limb.
They don’t taunt their prey.
They can cross water.
They can eat normal food and drink.
They don’t need to sleep in coffins or sleep at all.
That’s what vampires are to me.
The night is chilled and the air is icy
Winter nips at your cheeks and nose
Wandering far into the forest, you are lost my little Rose
Simplicity doesn’t exist where complexity plays
A daring youth like you amaze me in all ways
Hark! Hear the sound of the midnight wolves
Playing a melody to attract lost fools
You follow their tune, blissfully ignorant of the dangers they bestow
And onwards you follow, and onwards you go
Through the nocturnal world you flounder
From tree to tree you flow
Further into the orchestra, into something you don’t know
Into the jaws of hunger
Into the mists of time
Into the raging beasts that are ready to dine
And now you’re here, cold in my arms
A little Rose you’ve been
And I have plucked you from the world and you’ll never again be seen
Not by mortal eyes no how and you’ll stay forever with me
No mortal shall hear your cries when you beg me for release
And now you’ve joined the shadow world
A place that’s made from fear
And you will sup upon mortal babes and breed with me more fear
And nothing shall stop your pain, when you can’t kill anymore
You’ll always give into the hunger and eat their flesh that’s raw
And I’ll be here for you always
My precious little one
To remind you of who it was, that hid you from the sun
Oh my little Rose, look at what you’ve become!
Darkness has fallen and the moon arises to light his way from the sky.
Gently he walks in concealment with his dark and sly little eyes.
He tiptoes through the night forest crunching dead leaves underfoot; slowly he crawls like a stealthy, clever, hunting crook.
Sniffing the ground tracking the bait, to see what luck will have him take!
Which meal is he to find today?
Sniffing the paths of many preys!
The scent of live flesh gets stronger now and he eagerly prepares his snare.
There it is, back turned from the wolf, the prey doesn’t know that his there.
Slowly the night hunter creeps behind, ready to pounce and ready to dine.
The wolves jaw snaps round the neck sharp.
Tearing it to pieces without a heart!
Triumphant with his hunt, he calls!
Barking loudly about his Trawl, calling his family to dine with him, the flesh of the victim, it pleases him.
I’m dancing under the rainbow lights of a club
Dancing with all my kindred cubs
Wolves of the night we are
Dancing into ever darkness
On prey that walks in the night
Like silly beggars looking for a fight
When we sight them
Tear their throats apart
Till their life ends
This poem is honor of an old friend of mine I lost contact with a year ago, I miss him, he claimed to be involved with lycanthropy, I would say I believe him because I think I’ve seen him start transfiguration one night and he got rather embarrassed by it and touchy, yet he was always searching to be a lycanthrope.
Something happened where he said he sensed something about me and he was worried that he would hurt me as he regarded me as his spiritual sister, so he migrated to Ireland.
I’ve known some strange people in my time, I’ve seen some strange things and you know what? That’s why I don’t dispute the existence of anything; I fully believe in the paranormal, but I am unsure what to believe in as a main faith. I am darker than light I reckon, because the light is too bright and cheerful for the likes of me, I like morose, dark fantasy, dark ambiance and nightfall; it’s more peaceful and artistic.
There’s nothing to be afraid of, the dark doesn’t have any real monsters – well not the kind you should be afraid of. People fear the unknown that darkness brings, yet actually humanity, particularly those involved with any mainstream religion, are probably more monstrous than anything you could possibly find in a horror story.
Whenever anyone is overly zealous about their faith, that’s when I start to worry, that’s when alarm bells ring for me – get away from them as soon as possible, or they’ll send you mad and the people around them, they’re dangerous.
But I only think that because of my experiences with zealots in the past. I am lucky to be strong minded in regards to keeping an open mind, if I wasn’t; I think I would have been converted to some crazy religion years ago, hell, I had plenty of chances – Jehovah Witnesses coming to my mother’s house every Thursday trying to convert us, occasionally mum would talk with them, but we never got deeply involved, though mum did consider it once or twice, but then got scared off with their stupid ideas about disallowing medical care for herself and such and such, thank goodness for that, really.
