Oily world

We’ve made plastic everywhere

In our food and clothes and without a care

Fishes dying on our mess

Cancer growing in our chests

Plastic and oil equals horrid future toils

How I wish we didn’t spoil this world

Greed and ease are our sin

Look at the mess we are in

I have cried those bitter tears

But am I alone in that my dears?

Roll your sleeves up and start a trend

Vow to make amends

Linen, felt, wool and cotton for clothes

Keep away from acrylic it’s rotten and society doesn’t seem to know

Don’t choke the world with your ease and greed

Listen to how I plead

Please

Let’s get it on

The world is screaming in this heat

Life is on the verge

And it isn’t meat!

It’s all the toxins you consume!

All the chemicals are our doom!

Drown the world in oil plunder

Kill us all and all the wonder

Choke us with your smog and know

That we have no other place to go!

So think on that and change the world

A new mission for you has unfurled

We are super heroes you and I

And together the world will not die

One action and then another

We can save the world and build another

A newer greener happier place

On this same planet that we’ve disgraced

If we do it now it won’t be too late

So let’s get on cleaning up our mistakes!

I am love

Come into my arms

Let me wipe your tears away

I know life hurts so bad

I have been there too, don’t be sad

I warm you with my arms

Hear my words work like a charm

To lull all your fears away

To make you happy, so you can play

And I’ll be here for you always

To make you smile

All of the while

Control your thoughts

With fresh eyes I look into my future with wonder

What shall I plunder in my coming days?

Shall I be sweet, forever young?

Shall I be truly me in all ways?

Or is my future full of dung?

I don’t know

But I do know – you are what you think!

If your thoughts stink

You will sink into outer space

You’ll fall in disgrace

What a waste – of time and energy

Thinking about bad things, are you your own enemy?

I just know, good things flow in unpolluted waters

So let the bad thoughts go

Let them wash away

So you can play in tears of joy, not dismay!

I hope you’ve heard the words I have said

Will you be happy before you are dead?

Fill your mind with happiness

Put joy into your head!

Wear a smile on your face

And do what I said

Think good thoughts and let the bad ones go

Thinking happy thoughts will make life glow!

Cousin

Don’t judge me cousin

We’re the same

We are family and life is a game

The game is remember who you are

Inside out and near and far

Love is all around you; it’s written in the stars

Because all the world is your cousin

And this planet is our car

We’re on a journey to find ourselves

To learn to love again

To hold each stranger by the hand and reach a better end

Life is short, let’s stop the hate

So we can walk hand in hand

To gods new gracious Eden land

Am I wrong? A poem

I don’t like life

It hurts too much

What is the point of living if I can’t do such and such?

Why am I here?

Why do I live?

What does a person like me have to give?

What is the point of carrying on?

So I can sit and write you more depressing songs?

Or tell me please… am I wrong?

Immune system bites

I feel whooped by my own body

I wake in the morning feeling like I have been in a fight

My immune system bites

And I do not like

Life is pain

So is love

Life is Hell

But… Oh Well…

Internet bliss

I lived my life becoming what you wanted me to be

A nothing, a loser, a carer, a woman who lives solitarily

So you can have your nursie when you old become

You hoped I’d have no intelligence; you wanted me to be dumb

But I was bright as a button and I did my lessons well

I wanted children, a family

To you that’s a life of Hell!

So you treated me more cruelly in the hope that I would stay

Because my confidence you’ll shatter, of course I couldn’t stray!

But you didn’t understand solace, with books and with my friends

The internet provided them; they were my god-send

You cursed the day my brother presented me with this

A world full of possibilities, the internet was bliss!

So you tried to make me isolated even more than that

You said you’ll pull the plug September

I was absolutely sure of that

So I left in July and met Paulie

He is the one who set me free

Your cruelty can no longer touch me

For I have woken up you see!

Imagination from the shadows

The shadow world surrounds me and inspires my heart

Stories to tell and wondrous art

Fantasy, horror, I love them all

They dance in my head in their raucous ball

I sit and I write about courageous fights and dragons protecting their nest

I write about angels betraying God and I think I like those the best

But the thing I love more than all of these things

Is the fantasy that someday I may inspiration bring

To other writers and artists like me

To help and set their imagination free

Concrete Box

Nothing screams disease like humans packed into a concrete box

Grey deserts confound even the most cunning fox

Read this and weep for the nature we have lost

Though humanities tears have turned cold like frost

Shall we remember the greener days where all life was one?

Shall we reverse time or is the world done?

You hold the key, yes you little one

One can save the world, even from the numb
