We are drowning in a world of oil that pollutes our air and skies
Though they say we’re running out of it, the residue dictates its lies
We see that oil has never gone; it’s left its mark everywhere
We are drowning in the remnants of our pasts despair
The Earth is like a bubble it was never meant to last
So please don’t touch the bubble or it will die in a blast
Be gentle with the bubble, keep it clean and keep it pure
Maybe we will live longer, though we can’t be sure
Life is such a precious thing, yet you treat it without a care
You forget that Earth’s a bubble and that all life is rare
There is a situation
I want to emblazon
The Earth is beaten
By all of your junk
And it is poisoned
By every substance
That man has made
Earth is digging its grave
And it’s dragging you down
Down to the core
This situation is all of your fault
With this pollution
You need ablutions
Wash it away
Wash the pain away
Wash it all now
Or you will drown
Take a serious approach
Do no more encroach
On this beautiful world
It was paradise once
It was beautiful once
Humanity’s a dunce
Will you join my song?
Will you show that they’re wrong?
Stop polluting the earth
Because we haven’t got long!
Save the Earth
Or it’s the end of this song!
The field is green, the sky is blue and yet I never tire of you
Nature fine and nature pure
Often I’ll find things that are obscure
Day to day there’s new things to find
And none of them are to be claimed for none of them are mine
Each breeze and petal, leaf and stone
Are not mine to touch, move or own
They are just there, for us to find
But most of us are almost blind
We try to own nature in any way
Take and take and do not play
I love nature, leave it be
Let all nature remain free
The earth has a heart that is pounding
I feel her vibrations under foot
I know she is living that doesn’t astound me
I always knew that she was forsook
Humanity complains when her essence they have drained
All her goodness, all her charms, all her blood
But when will they realize that she is much more, than wide oceans, sky, creatures and mud?
This is a song in progress, I will add more to it another time but at the moment it’s a little hard to concentrate when your 3yr old is running a temperature and is tetchy about everything. I think this is going to be a great song, I have the tune in my head and everything and it’s really frustrating that I don’t have Cu-base anymore to help me put it down in music – as I’ve said numerous times before I can’t read or write music.
I don’t know why but when I thinking about this song I was thinking of at least two singers who’d it fits vocally. Those were Ed Sheeran and maybe Gotye, I know if this song ever got sold that it might not be those who’ll sing it, but I think it would suit their voice. Even Lady GaGa might like this as an Earth awareness album someday? But who knows, I think she does better when she writes her own stuff anyway.
The Earth is bleeding because it’s abused
Being took advantage of
It is wondering why we’re doing this; it’s looking for our love
No one owns this Earth of ours; its being is wholesome and free
Yet we claim her like an object, some sort of won trophy
Why do we abuse her so? Why do we crush her life?
When will we learn to love her? She makes a good housewife
All she does is care and nurture, all she does is breathe
Yet all we’re intent on doing is making her further grieve
Why not work with Mother Nature and love her like we should?
Why not stop this torture and treat her really good?
My poem here has ended, but the story continues on
Take care of our mother earth, so she can live on
