WOBP writing prompt – color = BROWN

From the writing prompt suggestion given by Sara Comte, Writing on banana peels http://writingonbananapeels.wordpress.com/2013/05/13/writing-prompt-stories-of-color/

Here is my poem about the color brown.

BROWN

Brown leaves crushed under my foot

Warm weather slowly fading

This is how I know summer is cascading

The woodland trees are going bare after flicking from red to brown

There’s coolness in the air and crunchiness to the ground

Oh soon it will be winter, where nothing shines like bronze

Oh how I love dear autumn the next one feels aeons

  1. Ahhhh! Who doesn’t love Autumn? And thanks for following my blog.

Love it! I especially like the line about the coolness of air and the crunchiness of the ground. Love the word “crunchiness’ in this poem. I could almost feel the ground ‘crunching’ beneath my feet.
